I have a new computer loaded with Windows XP and Outlook. I cannot get the spell check to work in Outlook, is it because I haven't got Word or Excel or is it a fault? Have tried all the usual 'Tools', 'Options' etc.

It's not a fault - you need either Word, Excel or PowerPoint installed.

This is not correct.

Outlook has its own spellchecker, and only uses Word's spellchecker if
you're using Word as your e-mail editor.

If you hit the F7 key, Outlook should spellcheck your e-mail.
