In writing email messages, when I use the spell check feature, it pops up
with, Spell check complete. In the body of my messages, there are numerous
errors that are not being detected. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

is it syntax errors or real spelling errors.
spell checker cannot detect grammatical/syntax errors.

After creating a new email when I click on the Spell check icon I receive the
following pop up window error.

"This language is no longer available for spell checking. Please select
another in the spelling options dialog"

I went to Tools > Options > Spelling

English was already chosen, so something was not working.

I reselected english and applyed the change, this acted like it worked but,

I have the same problem. In order to perform a spell check I first have to
hightlight the contents of the email.

No, it is not helpful. I try to send a email and I cannot even get my
spelling checked. I am not sure if it has to do with this new computer.
Every computer that I have ever had before this one was not a problem.

I think that it is a manufacturing problem and I am in the process of
contactimg them now.

Thank you,
Harley

i too have experienced the issues highlighted in this section, and have found
answers to all except this 'syntex error' where grammatical errors cannot be
detected.

is there a solution yet or do we know what the time frame is for a solution?
At present i have to use my old system

Excuse spelling errors..

A solution to what, not having grammar checking capability?
I doubt MS will ever add grammar checking to WinMail.
If it really matters, you could write the message in Word and do
the grammar check there.

I came in here to find an answer to the problem of why the spell check
doesn't work when sending an email. so far I find Vista crap !!. I will get
this working. there is no way I willput up with a spell check button that
won"t work.

Hi Sue,

If you are experiencing problems with the spell check in Windows Mail, try
this:

1. In Windows Mail, go to Tools, click Options, and then click on the
Spelling tab. (English should be selected as your Language.)
2. Click on "English" so that it becomes highlighted in the dropdown list.
3. Click Apply, and then click OK.

This should fix your spell check problem in Windows Mail.

Thanks,
Tatsuo.

I'd like to know why Vista is not fixing this problem, instead of directing
us to a chat room. I have also used spell ck on several computers and never
had a problem. I have tried most of the suggestions with no luck. Why is
this my problem? Norma
