On my way home from Rhyl this morning approaching a Camera. I was doing 30 just before I got to it. At the time of passing I was doing exactly 29mph
I checked my speed 3 times before I even passed the fcking thing

I passed camera, got about 25ft or so and it flashed me!

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a happy bunny at all

Any advice? Has anyone successfully won a case versus a faulty camera reading?

Found this on net but it only relates to Laser traps

Not not not impressed

I wouldn't even worry about it - if you were doing 30MPH then nothing will happen.

Some cameras without film in and in dummmy mode will flash all the time :thumb:

Yeah I know some are dummies m8, however this was like 3am and on a main stretch of road just before a roundabout and its never flashed before even when i have been going the same speed.

Im wondering if the heavy rain has affected it. I was well past it when it flashed you see. Problem is its a leased Van under my mates name. I am insured of course however we aint gona find out for ages cos of all the tape its gotta go thru to get to him

I wouldnt worry about it at all mate. I got flashed in a 30mph zone doing 22mph (was stuck in traffic) and just never heard anything of it. I would be you a lot of money you will never hear from anyone about it.

There wasnt someone going the other way that set it off was there?

Bodhi

The other thing to bear in mind is there are calibrated marks on the road to corroborate the camera reading - both have to match for a summons to be issued.

Welll apparently i've been informed its not the first time its happened. I phoned a freind who told me it has gone off before on quite a lot of people some going as slow as 20mph. All it takes is a letter asking them about the calibraion of the camera. However we shall wait and see.

Dam aint been driving 12months yet cant afford 3points this early :(
