Speedbumps are a real menace and should be banned. They cause damage to vehicles and to buildings which are close to them due to the transmission of vibration.
Hate the ruddy things.
And where I am always seem to be on narrow roads where you couldn't speed anyway

With the yobos and stolen moped around here, I think a rope between two lamp posts would be more functional.

From what I remember of the speed bumps in Mexico, they were basically a row of bricks... and then had them on the motorways (just before the police checkpoints). They weren't like the rounded ones over here, so you had to slow down to literally crawl over them.
