I've got Vista Buisness installed and Vista is running pretty much stable,
just waiting for proper video drivers from Nvidia but apart from that it's
going well until that is I try and run the Speech Recognition software. The
tutorial goes fine and so does the speech training but when it comes to
actually using the software, at random times my whole PC will just freeze up,
no BSOD or error messages, I have to result to restarting the computer and
then when I log back in no error message appears telling me what went wrong.
Does anyone else have this problem, what sort of area would the cause of this
be? Sound drivers? Thanx for help you can offer.

fire up the reliabiltiy monitor.
Click start and type in reliabiltiy monitor.

once in there click on the reliablity monitor on the left.
You will see a graph that flags the faulting modules in there.

you might be able to come up with something on your own in there, but this
is also something you can send to microsoft to try and get a fix. I'd do it
over the phone with them if you need it done in a timely fashion.

Good luck with that, you've got enough ram i think...

Cheers, thanks for that, unfortunately I'm not any closer to finding the
problem. Seems that each time I had to restart my computer due to it crashing
it was logged as "Disruptive shutdown" failure detail was "The computer was
not shut down properly" (yeah I could have told you that :P) and no
hardware/software failures ocurred.

I would call Ms at this point... and...
If you get someone from India you can't understand, simply demand a
supervisor...
I know it makes them feel bad, but you just gotta do it...
Your the one paying for the software...
Good luck...
