Specify the sorting order of database results

In Front page 2000 I use the Database result wizard. In step 3 of 5 there is
a "more option" field then has an order button. I am trying to have that
order set numerically by numbers. Apparently this was set up to order names.
this is my current result

8988
8916
6956
60
4877
4494...

As you can see the order is not exactly correct. Is there a way for me to
modify this.

You'll need to set the field in your database to be numeric rather than text
