specify format of a cell with text and data combination

When combining text and data in a cell, I loose the format
of the data. How can I specify the format?

As an example, my cell is: ="Growth: "&AN33 but the result
appears as "Growth: 0.12", whereas I would like to
have "Growth: 12%"
