Ok, just migrated from "Outlook Express" to 00 Outlook. I work for a
corporation where email addresses are listed in a "directory." If I specify
"automatic name checking" it matches to email addresses (which are usually
alternate email addresses) in my "contacts" folder instead of matching ONLY
to the "directory" which of course are the work email addresses. I end up
sending emails to peoples cell phones or pagers as that's the info I have in
email addresses in "contacts".
Is there a way to specify ONLY match email addresses in the "directory" and
NOT contacts?

YOu will need to change the Look In for your addresses. What version of
Outlook are you using?
