No, once you enter them in the Contact's details, they hit your calendar
automatically.

After furious head scratching, Barry asked:
| Is there any way to keep outlook from "automatically" adding
| birthdays or anniversaries to the calendar? Unfortunately, they are
| taking over my calendar (20 - 30 birthdays show up each day.)
|
| Thanks,
|

| || Birthdays and anniversaries are automatically added to the calendar
|| when you
|| input this information on the related contact item for the person
|| whose b-day/anni you want to display.
||
|| If you just want a secondary calendar to show these items only (not
|| a good idea as reminders will not fire from the non-default calendar
|| without an add-in) you can drag them to a new calendar, export that
|| calendar to a .pst
|| file and give it to your other family members to open, NOT IMPORT, in
|| their
|| Outlook program. Then drag and drop them from your calendar .pst to
|| their default calendar.
