speakers

im only getting sound out of one speaker i knocked the
computer and i fiddle about with the switch at the back
but it just moves from left speaker to right depending on
how far the plug is pushed in wat do i do !!!!!!!plz help
asap
 
check you've not got the balance set full left or right.

control panel > sound devices > audio tab > volume

make sure line out and wave are both centered.

Did it work in the past? Sounds like you've only got a mono plug at
the back of the computer with the symptoms you describe.

Having speaker problem here too. Please help!
Have Altec Lansing ADA880, a set of satellite, with
subwoofer, 2 midranges, and 2 tweeters. The system worked
fine when I had WinMe, which was the original OS that came
with the PC. After I upgraded to WinXP, the sound is quite
dull, not as crisp, and just found out that only the
subwoofer and the midranges work, but no sound from the
tweeters. I have made sure all connections are tight and
went into Control Panel and played around with all the
options. Nothing seems to work. Do you have any idea what
could be the problem? Please advise. Thanks.
