i NEED HELP!!! MY SPEAKERS WON'T WORK. WOULD BE GREAT IF SOMEONE
TRUSTWORTHY WOULD REMOTELLY CHECK OUT MY DRIVER OR WHATEVER IS WRONG. i'M
PRETTY NEW COMPUTER USER BUT WOULD APPRECATE THE HLEP. DON'T WON'T TO WAIT
FOR HOURS WITH DELL CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PHONE. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!

First (and being new you may not know) posting in upper case is regarded as
shouting and being rude. It would be good not to do it.

Secondly, speakers.
Have you plugged them into the correct (usually green) socket at the back of
the computer?
Have you plugged your speakers into the power socket?
Have you turned them on?
(I know these are basic things but you wouldn't be the first person to
forget one of them)
Have you installed the software driver for the audio card?
You first need to install the driver (ideally from a CD supplied by Dell but
may be downloaded).
Windows should recognise the new driver OK.

Regards.
