Speakers not working after using headphones with MSFS

We were on MS Flight Simulator and inserted Sony
headphones into the headphone jack. Everything worked
fine. Once we removed the headphones, speakers are
dead. I have tried everything - checked speaker volume
in Control Panel - that's o.k. Anybody have this problem
before? Can anyone help? I have a Dell Inspiron 2650
laptop. Thanks in advance for any assistance. If I'm on
the wrong board my apologies and maybe you can direct me
to the right one.
