Is there a more charitable soul than the folks at "help and Support" who can
tell me if there is a way in Windows XP Home Edition, that I can add the
proper accents, tildes, etc. used in the Spanish vocabulary, without having
to purchase another, different keyboard. The "help and support" newsgroup
overwhelmingly ignored my plea for help with 0 (zero) response. Please Help
Me. A.J.

The Help and Support newsgroup has a name that confuses many people. It's
for help with the Windows XP "Help and Support" feature, not for general
help and support.

I use a little freeware background program called AllChars. This lets me (in
all applications, not just OE) type many common special characters (many of
these are used in other languages) by pressing the ctrl key followed by a
two character mnemonic combination.

For example, for ñ the two characters are ~ and n.
