Spaming from Windows XP

We are facing a serious problem. My windows XP
professional, machine is continuesly sending traffic to
the Internet (to random ip address). This is chocking the
Internet link. We have updated the machine with the
latest service pack. Please send a fix for this problem.

Hi, George -

With the recent round of hostile applications released
into the computing community I suspect your problem is
caused by a worm, not by a program. I recommend you
update whatever virus scanner is on this machine and then
disconnect it from the Internet and scan the machine for
viruses.

Ditto what Allan is saying; I suspect you suffer from the Welchia or Blaster
viruses... you can find removal tools for both of these at www.sarc.com
You might also try removing spyware from your computer using the tool called
"ad-aware", which can be downloaded from www.download.com
