Finally tried it, like it. Download the program and see my review and others
here:

In my review, I forgot to add that you must drill down to the menu to add a
name to the "White List". Also, the White List does not allow global domains
or keywords. But it's still nice, and FAST. Even with 1 day of training
it's knocking out 90% of my Spam.

Anyone using it?

Does it do anything better that spampal?

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm a huge SpamPal fan. :)

Spamihilator will have to work superbly to make me permanently jump ship.
SpamPal works ~98% for me. I already have Spamihilator working well over 90%
with hardly any effort at all.

Spamihilator doesn't use DNSBL's, which can be slow. It has a nice
interface, and is very easy to configure. There are no ambiguous settings at
all, and everything's easy to find.

Maybe, depending on your needs, and your tastes. It's one of the several
excellent freeware spam filters eg k9,spampal, spambayes, POPFILE, etc etc
with good detection rates.

It's doesn't support IMAP, but IIRC spampal does right?

Also unlike spampal suspected spam does not hit your inbox, but is stored
in it's recycle bin.

Is that with or without the bayesian plugin?

I don't find 90% even in a day that impressive. These days most bayesian
filters are at least this level. As for long run accuracy, if you are
getting anything below 98%, I think you should start looking for
alternatives really. My own well tuned POPFILE is running at 99.8% and I
know many people using k9, spambayes etc are getting even higher rates.

True though a plugin is offered that does that.

The fun thing about spamihilator is the availablity of several different
layers of filters that you can chain together, and you can instruct it to
go through a series. Kind of like spampal really, except spamihilator seems
to be designed for it.
