You could set up a rule to move all messages to new folder called spam
UNLESS your email address is in the reciepents field OR UNLESS the sender is
in your contacts.
This works reasonably well on Outlook but I haven't tried it on OE. It only
lets through about 10% of the spam I currently recieve and most of the rest
is caught by other rules that look for specific words.
As far as I know there is no true spam stopper available. Spam is a fact of
life, the same as junk mail in your regular mailbox. However, there are
tools to help you filter out the spam from the real mail. Have you
checked out the message filters in Outlook Express yet? Third party
programs such as "Mail Washer" are popular too.
