Stupid

I was stupid enough to include my email address on a post
I made last week. Since then I have been spammed over 500
times from emails posing as Microsoft.

Microsoft recognizies this issue in an FAQ, but does not
think it would benefit me to notify anyone from Microsoft
about it.

All I want to do is to have my original post deleted in an
attempt to slow down the spam.

Any comments would be appreciated!

Live and learn. I too am bombarded with the same. You can not have your
message deleted however. It will be around in various archives until the end
of time. Kind of cool though that our great great grandchildren will be able
to read about our exploits on the internet someday. --- Steve

If you were using outlook express you can select your own message and cancel
it , but not all newsservers will honour the request , plus it is already
sitting in the .dbx files on countless infected machines , and its there
that it is being picked up on.

Most newsreaders delete old posts after a week or so , so things will get
better after a few more days as long as you don't post your email address
again.

Oh and telling MS would do no good. They don't have the ability to track
down each infected user.
