i'm receiving a lot of spam when i post to ng's - some of it containing
dangerous viruses (swen32, eg). being less naive now, i want to change my
return email address to be bot-resistant - something like
(e-mail address removed).

i thought i accomplished this some time ago, but apparently i was not as
successful as i thought. please apprise me of the correct procedure.

thanks.

Get yourself a Gmail id for incoming.
The spam filter is very effective.

Go to Windows Mail > Tools > Accounts. Double-click the News account(s) and
enter you bogus address in the box for Email Address under User Information
(Apply, OK).

once they have your name on the list, near impossible to get off.

get a new email address, and spam block it. run for long enough to have you contacts know. then shut down the old address.
