im having trouble keeping the space consistent and keeping it that way...
everytime i open a new document its goes to how it was ... like its on the
top of the document.. and i dont want it like that... i want to start writing
3 space down not on the top...well i tried to change it on the paragraph
setting but when i tested it like writing one sentence the next sentence when
i press enter its 3 space down as well not just one space below... can
someone please help... thank u ..

Miss Roni,
Check Tools - Options -View tab - uncheck mark in White space between pages.
Or hover your
mouse over the space between pages, the mouse pointer will change and
display Hide White Space, click, the white
space is hidden or vice versa.
Does this help, or have I misread your question completely?

If you really want spacing above the paragraph, do the following:

1. On the Format menu, click Paragraph.

2. Click the Indents and Spacing tab.

3. At Spacing Before, type 36 pt (which corresponds to three lines).

4. Click OK.

Observe that when you press Enter, the spacing will transfer to the
new paragraph. To specify a single line of spacing for that paragraph,
adjust Spacing Before to 12 pt.

Note that it would be a lot easier to apply paragraph formatting by
using styles. For more about styles, see
