Im not sure where to put this topic so i chose here. All i need to know is
one thing, and that is how to make a half space. And i dont mean a half space
on word, or anything liek that, i mean like using one right here and now. My
friend had showed me how by holding ctrl and pressing a few keys and when he
pressed space, the space was smaller than normal, i need to be able to do
this, can anyone help me?

Some news readers display proportional fonts where narrower spaces might
be possible; but some other news readers display fixed width fonts which
make ALL characters, including spaces, the same width. With text
messages it's all determined at the end where someone reads your message
and which reader software they are using.

There is a little more flexibility with HTML formated messages, but most
news groups discourage that format.

You may have to ask your friend as I have no idea how you can insert a
half space without a word processing application.

You may be able to find out with a search engine.
Your half space is called an "en space" and in a Unicode font it is

In some MS aopplications (Word, FrontPage), it produces not a half WORD
space but a single LINE space as opposed to a double paragraph space.
