That's probably not the first question you should be
asking. As most of us who ended up here have found out,
Movie Maker can be rather pesky. There are hundreds of
factors that affect the final product. In your case, it
will be only one long file imported to Movie Maker. That
may make the saving process more probable. You can always
adjust the size of the output file at the time of saving
the movie to make it fit your disc. Whether it will be a
higher or lower resolution won't be known until then.

I've just purchased a new machine with Windows XP Home
edition. I've had trouble with the movie maker software
(different vendor) that came loaded on the machine. I'm
considering a switch to Window Movie Maker. My basic need
is to take a bunch of individual 2 hour 8 mm home movies
and move them to DVDs. Should one 2 hour 8mm tape fit
onto one rewritable disc (4.7GB)?
