Hi,

I have installed Windows Vista Ultimate edition on my computer just a day
before. I partitioned my harddisk to NTFS with 9.7/9.8GB space.

Now, the issue is that it has occupied almost 8.0GB of space on my harddisk,
when I have not installed any other program on top of it.Is it normal?

B'coz what I noticed is that when my same partion was having a disk space of
7.8GB it was installing but I just wanted to expand the space on this
partition to 9.8GB.

Please suggest.

Thanks.

You're going to need a lot more space than that. I'm surprised it even
installed on a ~10 Gig partition.
Regardless, you'll need more space for the restore points it will want to
make before installing updates.
I'd regard 40 Gig a practical minimum partition size for Vista.

Thanx buddy!

But, still I am wondering that how much space it requires when installed a
fresh copy.
