After installing SP4 the computer tries to boot and
constantly restarts. I've noticed I am not the only one
with this problem. Any help will be appreciated and I
will pass this on to others.

Thanks,
Mike

Same thing happens to me. This has happend 3 times now, and the latest to
constatly reboot after sp4 upgrade is one of our servers. Can someone
PLEASE find a fix for this! I hope MS is working on this issue as it seems
to be happening to everyone! If you guys find a fix, post it here so we can
all see!

Thanks,

Philip Nunn

I've run into this problem too. If you computer is rebooting and you get a
blue screen that pops up quickly then it reboots again , then I may have a
solution. Look at the blue screen and see if you are getting an cannot find
winsrv.dll message. Extract winsrv.dll from your W2K CD. Copy it to your
WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory. Reboot to your W2K cd and choose the repair
option. The computer will automatically boot after repair is finished. If
you don't know how to extract you can use a copy of the file from a working
computer. This usually happens when W2K SP4 or 3 gets interrupted during
the install process. Hope this helps.
