sp4 installation failed

Ara,

I get a similar problem (with SP3 or SP4) not installing
but the file it refers to is - "c:\winnt\systems32
\dllcach\tcpmon.dll is running please close all
applications" I have tried closing every

file/application, including starting in "safe mode" but
cant seem to disable the file. If you get a response to
yr problems would love to know how to solve

A lot of errors like these come down to permissions issues on the drive that
are not allowing us to disable/shut down the services we need to to complete
the installation. Check your svcpack.logs and see what is at the very end
of it. Also, check permissions on the root of the drive to make sure that
SYSTEM and your account have full control. Lastly, check the setupapi.log
for errors (also at the bottom) and see if it happens to have issues related
to your problems listed there.
