I've got a Win2K server SP3 with exchange 2000 sp2 (?) installed and a
member Win2k SP4 server. Can I install AD on the SP4 server without bumping
up the exchange server to SP4? Is it now safe to bump up to SP4 on the
exchange server? I haven't because I've read about SP4 messing with
Exchange. Thanks.

Hi Michael,

My advice would be to go ahead and bump exchange up to sp3, the latest
released service pack for E2K, and also the post sp3 rollup. Then go ahead
with SP4 for Windows.

I was mistaken, I am at Exchange SP3, build 6249.4. Is this up to date or
do I need the post sp3 fix? I can't find the build numbers to tell..?

Appreciate the help!

Hi Michael,

Check add/remove programs on the Exchange server. The post SP3 rollup will
be there if you have it installed.
Check version of store in exchsrvr\bin. It will be 6.0.6396.1 if you have
the rollup.
