SP4 causes sytsem to reboot when opening MS Word 97, wordpad, and MS Acess 97

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.
Word97 when opened will cause PC to reboot
Note pad when opened will cause PC to reboot
Word Pad97 when opened will cause PC to reboot
MS Acess97 will cause a reboot when opening a "report"

Fix = back out sp4 and go back to sp3.
I'am running new hot fixes Pre-SP5 right now for security reasons and all is
well.
Single user no network infrastructure.

Please advise if anyone has seen this or has an alternate solution other
than to back out SP4.

I have 3 PC's that after updating to Windows 2000 SP4

randomly reboot/crash. Then have to rebuild disk when
starting up. I have 40 other PC's on Windows 2000 SP4
that have no such problem. I have no idea what is causing
the problem with these three PC's and SP4?
