After updated to Win2k SP4, the Panasonic KX-P7100 laser
printer stops working. Everytime when anything is tried
to be printed, the computer is re-booted abnormally.
The computer is also re-booted abnormally everytime I try
to re-install the driver. It is re-producable
consistantly.

The System event log has following information:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck
was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xbc18919b, 0x00000001,
0x00000000). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was
saved in: D:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini070103-08.dmp. How can I
upload the dump file?

I would also try and get the latest version of the printer driver from your
manufacturer.

Thank you!

I am using the newest driver from Panasonic.

I am on oca.microsoft.com. But where can I find the
upload button or something like that.

By the way, the blud screen displays as follows. Is it a
Panasonic's problem, or SP4 problem?

Hi Bill,

I'm having the exact same problem. I have Windows 2000 with all
patches and SP4 applied. It started right after I installed SP4. My
printer is the Panasonic KX-7100. When I try to print the computer
jumps to the blue screen of death showing the same error that you
have. I tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it using the
drivers from Panasonic's web site. The computer dies during the
install.

The printer works fine on the laptop running XP home.

I have found on the panasonic japan web site a new driver for Windows
2000 and it works now with SP4 on both Professional and Server
edition.
