SP4 Boot Problems Also

I have the same loop rebooting problem since locking up in
the middle of the SP4 download. I also have a Compaq
laptop which comes with this application recovery disk and
I am not sure how to use this to boot my pc. Any words of
advice to get this thing to boot using this?

Hello, I'm J-MAN and I am experiencing the SAME problem as
you are with the loop boot. However, I don't know if I
downloaded the Service Pack 4. As far as I know, I
downloaded the "Windows Automatic Update," installed it,
and now the thing won't boot properly. If you find any
further help on this topic, please be so kind as to

The recovery disk will re set up your unit like is was out of the box. You
also may have a driver CD that would have the Video/touchpad/sound
etc.....so you can get all the hardware back up......do you still have
compaq support ? If so I would plow forward....at least you will have
good clean install to go froward with......
