Hi!

After the deployment of W2K SP4 on Domain Controllers I randomly receive
NTDS Database Internal Processing error (1168) in my "Directory
Service" logs.

***
Error 8430(20ee) has occurred (Internal ID 20612ee). Please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services for assistance.
***

KB827531 article (Random 1168 Event Messages Are Logged After You
Install Windows 2000 Service Pack 4) describes this problem, informs
about the hotfix availability but there is no patch to download...
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;827531

Any idea how to fix the error?!

Thanks,

Tigran,

I believe that you have already been advised of what to
do in the error message: Please contact Microsoft Product
Support Services for assistance.

It gives you that instruction both in the Event ID as
well as in the middle of that MS KB Article. You will
not be charged the $245.00 for contacting MS PPS. They
just need to control/monitor this problem a bit tighter.
You will be asked for a valid e-mail address so that the
individual with whom you speak can e-mail it to you. It
will most likely be zipped and password protected ( the
current password and then next password to use after such
and such a date will be a part of that e-mail ). So,
make sure that you give them a valid e-mail address and
that you have either WINZIP or ALADDIN EXPANDER installed
somewhere handy.

HTH,

Cary

The hotfix KB828297 resolve your problem.
Request it to Microsoft.
