That's because DHCP is registering and not the client machine. This is due
to your domain is probably a single label domain name, such as "domain"
instead of the required "domain.com" format.
See this article to bandaid it and force it to work, otherwise, if your AD
DNS Domain name is truly a single label name, I would suggest to reinstall
the domain with the proper name.
