unable to install a different antivirus on this computer.it has a trail
version of norton antivirus2004 installed but after removing it and
installing ez armor from computer assoc it stops in a blue screen and
reboots. never loading anything into the antivirus. installing the sp2
service pack is the key. i formatted the hard drive and then installed the xp
and upddates one at a time and as soon as sp2 goes in it freezes. any help
would be greatly appreciated--

SP2 conflicts with a lot of programs. You've got two options.
Install something that doesn't have a conflict. Or download the
latest upgrades to eliminate an existing conflict with an older
version of the software.

Your post is confusing. At first you say the problem is that installing
EZ armor after having tried to remove NAV2004 is the problem. Then
later you mention reinstalling XP and then problems after sp2. Is
norton trial still on the system - or is that a red herring? What
exactly is the problem? Without knowing more see these links:
