I loaded sp2 and it corrupted my admin password. I have a
back up but it won't let me do restore under my guest
account. Is there a way around this? Or a way to recover
my password?

Have you tried to log on with the original Administrator user:

How to Log On to Windows XP If You Forget Your Password or Your
Password Expires

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
