after loading sp2 in my notebook and whenever i start my
computer, everytime the windows security alerts turned
redwith cross mark at bottom right corner.
any solution to this problem?

It is telling you that your computer may be insecure.
Do you have current anti virus?
Do you have a firewall?

If you are sure all is OK, your AV or firewall may not have the
updates necessary to be monitored by the Security Center.
If so, verify you have the latest updates and contact them.

Otherwise double-click the icon.
On the left side click "Change the way..."
Make selections as desired.

.
I have a follow-up for Jupiter Jones .... I have
actually followed that route and yet every time I reboot,
that shield is back. No matter how many times I
have "changed the way..." it reappears. Is there a
permanent disabling ability (registry entry, or
otherwise)?

Hi

If the "Change the Way Security Center Notifies Me" doesn't stick
when you reboot, or you want to disable the Security Center totally,
you can do the following:

Start/Run --> services.msc

Find "Security Center" in the list, double click on it, set
"Startup type" to Disabled.
