SP2 troubles

I have been having troubles installing sp2 for windows xp. I have had
constant crashes, hardware and software problems.
But I am now bug free or at least 99% free. To solve my problem I had to
uninstall all hardware and chipset drivers, then download the latest drivers
and then install them. I then downloaded and installed sp2. I did have some
help with this from a IT pro. It turns out that the drivers that I had before
this did not install correctly and neither did sp2. After a couple of hours I
was up and running and trouble free.
I wish to appologize for beening a little harsh in my previous post, which I
see is no longer here.
 
I notice that my previous post was actually in Windows XP Performance and
Maintenance under the title SP2 prevents hardware installation.
Well since my last sp2 install the only problem I had was I had to reinstall
all hardware drivers including chipset. Otherwise my only problem is with
Mcafee Internet Security Suite 2005 which I am consulting Mcafee about.
