SP2 trouble

Hi,
Installed SP2 yesterday am, now the fonts on hotmail and many other pages
are itty bitty and hard to read.
I clicked "View" and changed the text size to "Largest", and then to
"Tools", Internet Options" and set fonts to Times New Roman but none of these
change the display. For example, this page I'm viewing now - the page that
gives me the Subject and Message box where I'm typing this question,, is
screwed up. All writting (fonts) that are on the left of and below the box
where I'm typing appear to be Tahoma font and approx. size 10, this message
I'm typing is Times New Roman and maybe size 8 (very small), however the bar
at the absolute top of this screen showing "http://www.microsoft.com - New
Question - Microsoft Internet Explorer" is displayed in a different font all
together and appears to be a size 18-20 Bold.
Can anyone offer a tip or tips for this issue ?
Thank you

OK,,, it appears I should have read more of the prior posts concerning SP2
before posting my question.

I have the XP Home Edition with all updates installed as they arrive from MS.
SP2 is the only update I had been dragging my feet on because I had heard
there were a few issues there.
I installed the "UPDATES" sent from MS - did not order a CD.
I did not expect I needed to do an extensive purge or cleanup of my PC
before installing SP2,, there weren't any **WARNINGS** that told me I needed
to that came with the update.
I do use SpyBot S&D somewhat frequently.
I use Webroot SpySweeper.
I use Guideworks Registry Mechanic (that I did run after the post SP2
install reboot - Registry Mechanic found and "fixed" 22 deep registry issues).
Perhaps that is what caused these problems ??
I have Norton VP

I guess I fall into the catagory of "stupid people who don't properly
maintain their PC's", and simply click the "Recent updates are downloaded to
your computer, click here to Install",,, and simply follow the directions for
whatever updates MS deems necessary for a properly operating system. Foolish
me that I'm not serious enough to "invest" hours upon countless hours
studying what makes my home PC work and mindlessly trust these "UpDates"
Microsoft tells me I SHOULD install on a regular basis.

Now that I have read more of those posts,, specifically : Subject: Re:

I may get lucky and figure out where my messed up font issue(s) lie.
