SP2 network interface card

After installing Win XP sp2 I'am not able to see my lan connection in the
network connections.
everything seems to work fine but now I'am not able to change the tcp/ip
setting

Anyone?

Which vendor/model NIC ? - Is the NIC listed in the Network adapter
category of Device Manager ?
Is the NIC a PCI add-in Card or a Motherboard based Network chip?
XP remembers all NICs/LACs, so you may have multiple instances in
the Registry that might need some cleanup. This is usually indicated when
the Local Area Connections have sub-scripted numbers LAC 1, LAC 2.
Finally, If you open a Command Prompt & (Type) IPconfig/All what
adapters does it show and their parameters ( IP Address, Gateway ).
