Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about the
Memory Protection feature that's going to be released
with XP-SP2.

I think it's a great idea if Microsoft can get it to work
without interferring with any programs that you do want
to run.

My only question is if this new feature will lead to more
memory overhead. And if so, how much? This feature can't
really be put aside like caching can, so it would
probably be memory permanently set aside by the system to
monitor everything else.

Just something that peaked my interest.

You must use a CPU that has the "built in" capability (such as the Athlon
64). Otherwise, it is grayed out in the operating system options.
