SP2 manual service startup problems

Several services set to start manually, dont startup when called.

This is since SP2 installation. I'd be grateful if someone can confirm if
MS knows about this already.

I dont want all services running in background. Takes up processor time and
memory.

Are you such a noob that you don't know even that?

You set them to manual and then complain cause they are not running and you

Aye, some services are called by other programs and services when needed.
Since SP2, they no longer startup when called -which is the problem I stated
in my first post noob?
