Ok, in all fairness to Microsoft and the people that use
their software I have to post this message I've
posted in here a few postings about IE and how it doesn't
work after installing SP2...etc...etc...etc.... well it
turns out that it does work beautifully and the culprit
ended up being "Norton Internet Security". I had
problems going to sites like www.weather.com and
www.dslreports.com...these sites as well as others use
javascript. Well I kept thinking and posting like it was
somehow related to MS's SP2...blaaah...blaah...blaah. It
was not, it was Norton. So if any of you are having
troubles still with what you think might be SP2 related,
I would check my firewall/antivirus programs first. Oh
yea, and disabling the firewall, for me anyway, didn't
work, I had to uninstall it before I could get everything
to work the way it was supposed to. Thanks to everyone
that tried to help me with my problem.
