Well we installed SP2 again and hoped we wouldn't have the same problems as
last time. But now the other computers on our network can't see THIS PC and
get online - how do we fix this problem? Anyone...... ?

Thanks

Since you haven't given us any information about your computer, why you
had problems the first time, and how you connect to the Internet - you
can't get a specific answer.

However, the first thing I'd look for is a misconfigured firewall.
Service Pack 2 automatically enables the Windows Firewall. If you are
not running a third-party firewall, go to the Windows Firewall applet
in Control Panel and enable File & Printer Sharing on the Exceptions
tab. If you are using a third-party firewall (and have properly
configured it to allow your lan traffic as Trusted), then turn the
Windows Firewall off. You don't want two firewalls running, and a
third-party program will be better than the WF. All firewalls must be
properly configured to allow lan traffic as Trusted.

Here is an excellent network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna.
Take the time to go through it carefully and it will pinpoint the
problem area(s).

$$ I run XP-Home and just installed SP2 last night. Booted up this morning
and had the problems. After running a SFC /Scannow the browser problem
seems to be fixed. Ad-Aware also found a browser Hi-Jacker which it
removed. I run both SpyBot and Ad-Aware weekly.

$$ I use ZoneAlarm - this worked! :)))) They connected. Thanks!

$$ ZoneAlarm was.

$$ Will do - thanks. We've had browser problems (hijackers) on every
computer we've had in the past. So far this one was spared - until now.
