SP2 Installation causes stop: 0x0000008E

I am trying to upgrade from Windows XP SP1. Towards the very end of the
installation process I get the blue screen and the following error message

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005,0x8055118E,0F6E5A72C,0x00000000)

Help is very appreciated.

Are you installing from a CD and if you are where did you get the CD from ?
If you got the CD from MS give your Local MS Office a call and they will
give you free Telephonic support on this issue

You will get this error because of drivers as when you install SP2 it
replaces the drivers with newer drivers for you Hardware from the SP2
installation.
