SP2 install

I tried to upgrade from win 2000 to SP2 using express
setup and now I can't boot my computer. It goes halfway
thru booting and then it restarts aain and goes thru the
booting all over again. It never finishes!!! Any advise as
to what could be wrong!! Please help....

Have you tried booting in 'Safe' mode ? Press F8 as
Windows starts, go into 'Safe' mode and uninstall the SP2,
then try again, although I would suggest you go straight
to SP4.
If 'Safe' mode fails, try using your Win 2K install disc
to repair the problem (Use the Repair Option). Or did you
have a recovery disc before you started ? - Try using
it.....
 
Hello,
I've been running into the same problem going to sp4 and
have been unable to find it addressed on the Msoft sites.
some have been doing an OS reinstall but I'm trying to
find a fix to avoid this on future machines.
Was your antivirus realtime scan disabled prior to the
install? Let me know what you find out!
