We have a Windows Small Business Server 2003 and 5
workstations running Windows XP Pro. One of the computers
has SP2 installed but the Firewall is disabled and the
dialog box says that the firewall is controlled by the
domain. HOW DO WE TURN ON the firewall? We have gon to
the KB but those instructions don't seem to make any
sense. Do we need to make changes on the workstation or
the server? What needs to be changed to turn on the
firewall?

1) I wouldn't use it on a LAN facing connection. Just keep all your
servers/workstations patched, and protect your network at the perimeter with
a good firewall and/or ISA.
2) SP2 hasn't been released yet, so it doesn't belong on a production
computer.
3) There are SP2-specific newsgroups - I'd post there.

You need to do this in Group Policies. I don't know if the Server 2003 policy templates have been updated or not.

On the XP Pro machine, this is found in GPEDIT, Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, Network Connections, Windows Firewall.
