SP2 & Explorer

Hi there!

I have updated to SP2, and find that now that Explorer doesn't behave as
it used to.

My image uses MinLogon, and has Explorer (not IE, but adding IE doesn't
change anything there) in it, just like it used to with SP1. In facts,
my updated image has all the components it used to include in SP1, AFAIK.

I have created my own shell, so that my apps are directly started when
XPe boots. I also have shortcuts so that my apps are quit and Explorer
is started, only leaving a mini keyboard listening app running (the
actual shell application) while Explorer is running. That way, I can use
Explorer to move files around, check log files, etc.

Launching Explorer used to give me a simplified Desktop, with the
Taskbar, the start menu, etc. But now, when I start Explorer, only a
single window shows up, the same as the one you get with XP Pro when you
hit win-E. That means that I now have no more Desktop nor Taskbar.
To launch Explorer, just as with SP1, I simply start the executable:

C:\Windows\Explorer.exe

Has anyone seen this? Do you know a way to get the previous behavior back?

Thanks,
-georges
