SP2 error 2nd request: object already exists error

I know MS is busy dealing with SP2 error issues but isn't there some MS
support person who can answer this? Since I installed SP2 every time I boot,
at the logon screen, I get an error box. It's titled Windows System error.
It
says "Object already exists". Just an Okay button. No other info or error
code. There are two of them. Then when I log in there is a balloon in the
systray saying the same thing. Obviously having important tasks running on a
system that's complaining about system errors is not something to be
ignored. What is this and how do I fix it?

Look in device manager and see if there are any duplicate or double hardware
entries. If so remove them, then reboot.
