Anyone else seen this;
Computer #1
After installing critical updates for SP2, rebooting, system seeme
normal.
While printing out a project, I heard the ups trip.(alert beep) Window
rebooted.
I got a boot-up message that said that this may have been caused b
hardware changes, or an electrical interruption. Do I want to boo
normally, blah, blah, blah. Computer booted to normal on it's own whil
reading the screen.
(I've never seen this boot-up screen before, relating to hardwar
changes & electrical interruption.)
Computer #2
System on seperate ups with SP1 without new critical updates did no
trip. (alert beep) while surfing internet. (exact same time frame)
Question; was this due to ups on Computer #1, or new updates?
Anyone else experience this or just a fluke?
Thanks,
Treema

Treeman,

Replace the battery in your UPS before it fails completely. 3 - 5 years I
think is a good lifespan for a UPS battery depending on the usage.

Mine gave signs that it was getting weak when a household vacuum on the same
ckt would cause a reboot, then eventually it would reboot when the laser
printer was turned on.

Test your out by unplugging it from the wall with the PC on.
