After installing SP2 for XP home edition, my video
editing application cannot connect to the camcorder using
firewire connection. Whenever I tried to connect to the
camcorder, Windows UI becomes non responsive(looks like
it is trying to connect to the camcorder). Eventually,
the app. says it cannot connect. I tried MS movie maker,
same problem.

Any solution is much appreciated.

There are some Capture devices drivers that have issues
with sp2. Check with your cards manufacturer for new
drivers. Uninstall the device restart and reinstall the
drivers following the onscreen instructions. Restart a
second time.

Check also in device manager, and see if your firewire port
is picked up.

I had a similar problem with usb and the above fixed it.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-7, there is a list of the qualities that
Unregenerate man will have in the last days. Is your quality
found there? If So, don't despair - Christ came to save His
people.
