Hello, I've got one problem with my IE version 6 SP2.
When I was accessing the internet, I always got an error
message as below:

Your current security settings prohit running ActiveXx
contron on this page. As the result the page may not
display correctly.

Could you please tell me how to solve that problem?

Regards,

Romdoul

Enable ActiveX via IE Options. In the Security tab>Internet>custom settings.
I don't, but you may wish to. If you have it set to either Prompt or
Disabled, that dialogue box will *always* appear.

My settings are:
Prompt
Disable
Disable
Prompt

thanks for your email, but I used to set it to the lowest
level of security and at this moment, I followed what you
guided me, but I still get the same problem.

DO you know the other solution?

Thanks

You're welcome.

If you don't want the prompts, and you want to access this ActiveX directly,
you must enable all *except* for the initialize and script ActiveX controls
not marked as safe. You must also enable Active Scripting.

*This is foolhardy* IMO. But it is your machine. You'd better have a FULL
array of anti spyware/malware programs of the highest and most reputable
quality at your disposal *right now*, and check for new updates and
definitions *everyday* (or more), and scan your machine will all of them
*everyday* (or more, if you surf a lot; are indiscriminate, or just like to
live dangerously)

Hi,
Do you have another program blocking ActiveX? Maybe a firewall, McAfee AV
(internet filter) Norton Internet Security, etc?

Here's a tip for all of you who may have been getting the following
message:

"Your current settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.
As a result, the page may not display correctly."

I found that it was caused by the "DCOMbobulator" application
available from Steve Gibson at http://grc.com/

That may be a handy app to provide security but it will cause that
error message to be displayed. Took me a while to figure out, so I
hope this will help some others who may have installed it and
forgotten about it.

ActiveX Message in Outlook

Look in Tools / Options / Securty Tab / under Security Zones, change to Internet Zone.
