I recently installed SP2.
Everything works fine except one annoying thing in IE6.
Whenever I searched a word in a site, found a list, went a specific click,
and want to go back to that search result, the page shows a well-known error
message 'page cannot be displayed.' Then, press 'back' again, and directed to
search page (initial search screen, not a search list).

It didn't happen before I installed SP2.
If anyone know how to resolve the issue, please let me know.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Try the following and see if it helps:

Back Button - "Page has expired" error when using back button
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers_10.htm#back
or....

Can't use back button - Page won't release for back return

Either press Shift and click or right-click and choose Open in New Window to
avoid getting trapped on a page and can't use back button to return to
previous page.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

I tried what you suggested. No success. Still problem happend.

The problem happened only when I hit "back" button for returning to a search
result page. In other cases, the 'back' button works (go to previous web
page).

The error message: "the page cannot be displayed" (very familiar error
message, esp when the internet is not connected). No other details specified
in the page (error message).

I experienced this problem not just one site, but everywhere, including
amazon.
At amazon, when I search a keyword, find a search result, go to a click,
then want to back to the search result page. The same error message shown.
Then, I hit "refresh" then, another screen pops up and said "browser bug."

Don't know why this problem happened only when I search some word at a site,
and want to back to that search result by pressing 'back'

Hi kthan :-)

You may have a hijacker, malware, spyware or parasites on your system
causing this problem. In addition to running your updated anti-virus
program, you should do the following to be sure none of these are present on
your system. Some variants of malware can replicate themselves over and
over if not removed properly. Please follow all instructions carefully to
be sure your system is thoroughly cleaned:

Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:

Be sure to run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot.
Also be sure to use the HijackThis. Please do not post your log to this
newsgroup, but to the SpywareInfo or the Aumha HiJackThis forums

evaluate your log and advise you of the necessary steps to clean your
system.

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of the programs
below, download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:

(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Please see the post "IE Bug" on 4/1/05. The only misbehaving software is IE.
I've provided steps to reproduce the bug that any web developer can try.
