SP2 and Adobe ActiveX Controls

I just downloaded the lastest service pack, and now I
can't open Adobe documents.

When I look at the manage add-ons box, I see that Adobe
Acrobat Control for ActiveX is disabled, and I cannot
enable it. "This add-on is managed by your
administrator." I am the administrator on my computer.

What can I do to correct this?

I'd appreciate anyone's advice.

I spent hours on the computer last evening trying to get this figured out. I
finally got a microsoft rep. to e-mail me with what to do. I can send you
the e-mail if you like. The first step is to create a new user account as
administrator and see if this issue still occurs with the new account. If
you still have the same problem there are a lot of other steps to go through.
If it works then you will need to transfer your account profile to the new
account and this should resolve the issue.
